When we wait on God

Well i have learned what it is to really trust in God's timing for what i have been going through.Today there was victory over a prayer that i have been praying, trusting that God was going to give me the victory.I waited patiently for this day and trusted that God was going to get me through.

God's direction and the timing is always perfect but we need to have faith and obedience in his calling.Sometimes we want things to go our way but in some way God always wants our good.
Why do you think that He had called us so like that when we pray we can see His glory.Just like the patriach Abraham had gone to a land that was foreign to him,he trusted in God's timing when it came to the sacrifice of His son,Joseph trusted in God while in prision for something that he did not do and to the baker and the butler,God's timing was made perfect cause the result was He became governor of Egypt. There are many examples in the Bible that had resulted in God's timing being right and sometimes the consequences of following our own timing.
When we wait on God no matter what it is then we see the blessings that he wants to bring on us as His children.

if tomorrow never comes

If I knew it would be the last time that I'd see you fall asleep, I would tuck you in more tightly and pray the Lord, your soul to keep.

If I knew it would be the last time that I see you walk out the door, I would give you a hug and kiss and call you back for one more.

If I knew it would be the last time I'd hear your voice lifted up in praise, I would video tape each action and word, so I could play them back day after day.

If I knew it would be the last time, I could spare an extra minute or two to stop and say "I love you," instead of assuming, you would know I do.

If I knew it would be the last time I would be there to share your day, well I'm sure you'll have so many more, so I can let just this one slip away.

For surely there's always tomorrow to make up for an oversight, and we always get a second chance to make everything right.

There will always be another day to say our "I love you's", And certainly there's another chance to say our "Anything I can do's?"

But just in case I might be wrong, and today is all I get, I'd like to say how much I love you and I hope we never forget, Tomorrow is not promised to anyone, young or old alike, And today may be the last chance you get to hold your loved one tight.

So if you're waiting for tomorrow, why not do it today?

For if tomorrow never comes, you'll surely regret the day, That you didn't take that extra time for a smile, a hug, or a kiss and you were too busy to grant someone, what turned out to be their one last wish.

So hold your loved ones close today, whisper in their ear, Tell them how much you love them and that you'll always hold them dear, Take time to say "I'm sorry," "please forgive me," "thank you" or "it's okay".

And if tomorrow never comes, you'll have no regrets about today

The Window

Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room. One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from his lungs. His bed was next to the room's only window. The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back. The men talked for hours on end. They spoke of their wives and families, their homes, their jobs, their involvement in the military service, where they had been on vacation.

And every afternoon when the man in the bed by the window could sit up, he would pass the time by describing to his roommate all the things he could see outside the window. The man in the other bed began to live for those one-hour periods where his world would be broadened and enlivened by all the activity and color of the world outside.

The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake. Ducks and swans played on the water while children sailed their model boats. Young lovers walked arm in arm amidst flowers of every color of the rainbow. Grand old trees graced the landscape, and a fine view of the city skyline could be seen in the distance.

As the man by the window described all this in exquisite detail, the man on the other side of the room would close his eyes and imagine the picturesque scene.
One warm afternoon the man by the window described a parade passing by. Although the other man couldn't hear the band - he could see it in his mind's eye as the gentleman by the window portrayed it with descriptive words.

Days and weeks passed.

One morning, the day nurse arrived to bring water for their baths only to find the lifeless body of the man by the window, who had died peacefully in his sleep. She was saddened and called the hospital attendants to take the body away. As soon as it seemed appropriate, the other man asked if he could be moved next to the window. The nurse was happy to make the switch, and after making sure he was comfortable, she left him alone.

Slowly, painfully, he propped himself up on one elbow to take his first look at the world outside. Finally, he would have the joy of seeing it for himself. He strained to slowly turn to look out the window beside the bed. It faced a blank wall.

The man asked the nurse what could have compelled his deceased roommate who had described such wonderful things outside this window. The nurse responded that the man was blind and could not even see the wall. She said, "Perhaps he just wanted to encourage you."

Epilogue. . . .There is tremendous happiness in making others happy, despite our own situations. Shared grief is half the sorrow, but happiness when shared, is doubled. If you want to feel rich, just count all of the things you have that money can't buy. "Today is a gift, that's why it is called the PRESENT".

I Don’t Want To Be Alone

Life is so uncertain that makes me think what would lie ahead of me
Many times I’ve been thinking what would be my life after here
Will I be able to get the crown of glory or will I be in doomed?
The idea of being uncertain is frightful and dreadful
That makes me restless and weaker

I tried to find the answer of all my questions
Yet the more I seek to know the answer the more I don’t understand it
And all the more my heart becomes desperate yet I could find nothing
I can’t hold on the idea of being alone, being neglected, being left behind
It makes me cry every time I’ve come to think of it

I needed someone so desperately, so intense, so greatly
I don’t want to be alone in this life because I don’t know how to live
I don’t know how to take things rightly without someone guiding me
I don’t know how to walk without someone supporting me
I don’t know how to love without someone loving me

Although I could not see you and feel you by my side, I know you are here
Though I could not touch you, I know you are holding me tightly
Your presence is always around me, helping me
So I have a special request from You
Please don’t let me go
Hold on to me because I don’t want to be alone

God can be Glorified through human suffering

Ephesians 1(10-11) In Him also we have obtained an inheritance being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will. In john 11, jesus was going to the tomb of Lazarus, he saw Mary weeping there and He must have felt a deep anger. He questioned where the tomb was, once there Jesus called him out from the grave.

Imagine Lazarus in heaven, enjoying his time then someone saying sorry you have to go back now, to a life filled with suffering and pain. Would you want to come back to this life, Well lazarus didnt have that choice because Jesus was the one that was calling him back, what a sweet voice to surrender to,when He calls we should answer Him. Jesus called by name and lazarus still wrapped up came walking out of the tomb.

God can be glorified through human sufferings and bring the good from the bad. The thing for Lazarus is now he would die twice instead of once. But God wpuld glorify himself through the life of lazarus and all of tge family. God's glory through the gospels was truly on display.

In the Valleys We grow

Sometimes life seems hard to bear,
Full of sorrow, trouble and woe
It's then we have to remember
That it's in the valleys we grow.

If we always stayed on the mountain top
And never experienced pain,
We would never appreciate God's love
And would be living in vain.

God forgives and forget

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

God forgives and forget that is one of the amazing qualities of our God because He is a merciful God.
The moment we come of repentance God already forgiven us. Because He is omnipresence God knows our thoughts. 14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14. Not only God will forgive us but will also bless us.

That is how great our God’s love for us not only to forgive but also to bless us or heal our land. God did not send His Son Jesus Christ our Lord for nothing. He sent His Son that our sins will be cleansed. God paid our sins by blood. If we could imagine the situation God Himself paid it not a special person or country but He Himself paid our transgression at the Cross.

RECONCILIATION

“RECONCILIATION” Making amends, settling disputes, forgiving hurts and pain is part of the process of reconciliation. When restoring a severely damaged relationship many times we hold back and struggle because we think that forgiving that person means we have to be immediately reconciled.

The truth is forgiveness is not reconciliation. It is possible to forgive an offender without being reconciled to him. Reconciliation is often a process that requires rebuilding of trust in the other person. Reconciliation is forgiveness in action. It takes time and a lot of patience. Christ is the ultimate example who bridged us to God thru complete forgiveness and reconciliation.

Trust God for Your Future

Life is full of surprises—some of which take life in unwelcome directions. I still remember the shockwave that hit our family several decades ago when my father lost his job through no fault of his own. With a house full of kids to feed, it was a jarring blow. But as certainly as Dad’s job loss was beyond his control and unexpected, he still knew he could trust God for his future.

As Jesus’ followers, we must recognize that there are things in life that are the “uncontrollable unexpected,” as I call them. To help us in those moments, James 4:13-15 offers this wisdom: “Come now, you who say, ‘Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit’; whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. . . . Instead you ought to say, ‘If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.’ ” The people to whom James was writing were making plans while excluding God’s prerogative to direct their lives.

A Carrot, An Egg and A Cup of Coffee

This is the very nice story that I've read .I’m not sure who the original author is, so please comment below if you know, appreciate it. thanks-Rose.

You will never look at a cup of coffee the same way again.

A young woman went to her mother and told her about her life and how things were so hard for her. She did not know how she was going to make it and wanted to give up She was tired of fighting and struggling.
It seemed as one problem was solved, a new one arose.

Her mother took her to the kitchen. She filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire. Soon the pots came to boil. In the first she placed carrots, in the second she placed eggs, and in the last she placed ground coffee beans. She let them sit and boil; without saying a word.

In about twenty minutes she turned off the burners. She fished the carrots out and placed them in a bowl. She pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl.

God Working in Us Both to Will and to Do

Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. (Phi_2:12-13)

Again, our meditation is from Phi_2:12-13. Yesterday, we saw that God must be allowed to work within our hearts, if we are to walk in obedience. "It is God who works in you . . . for His good pleasure." Today, we will consider the extent to which He desires to work: "both to will and to do." In order to fully obey the Lord, we need His work within us for both the willing and the doing.

GOD'S MOTIVES

"He brought me out into a spacious place; He rescued me because He delighted in me." (2 SAMUEL 22:20)
__________________________________________________________________

God has a motive for every one of His children. His desire is to bring us into a spacious place. He wants us to go beyond our borders of safety and security so that we might experience life at a level that goes beyond ourselves.

What do you think of when you think of a "spacious place"? No limitations? A large, grassy field? Open air? These are positive images. Sometimes these spacious places encourage us to step out in faith into areas where we've never ventured.

Sometimes we need to be rescued by the Lord. When Peter walked on the water, God was inviting him to a spacious place. He went beyond the borders of his boat and ventured into a whole new world. He didn't have complete success in his venturing out, but it was a process that would lead him to the next victory in his faith walk with Jesus.

Sometimes failure is what is needed in order to move us to the next level of faith with God. However, we must be willing to fail and let God rescue us.

The Lord delights in this process. His motive for His children is always love. It is always to bring us to a new level of trust and dependence on Him.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY(",)
